Ever After Travel – Kamakura, Japan

Wow! My husband and I took this amazing trip to Japan in 2014. Where did those three years disappear to?!?!? This will be a long series of travel posts, so look for more Japan posts in the future. My what an incredible place Japan is. I am mostly going to let the pictures do the talking with a few captions and stories thrown in here in there. If you have any questions about this trip and any of the pictures posted, please comment!

I hope you enjoy 🙂

These are our first pictures of the trip. We traveled there, road the train to my cousin’s city (he has lived in Japan for over two years, so visiting him was one of the main reasons we went!), then had an amazing home cooked nice Japanese meal. It was delicious!
Our first day in Japan we went to Kamakura. This is a beautiful city with more temples and shrines than you can count! This next series of photos are all from the first temple that we stopped at on our long day of hiking and fitting in as many sights as we could.

Breakfast after the first temple stop. We had a bit of a hard time finding breakfast restaurants while we there and this was actually a dessert spot, but we saw pancakes and thought it worked haha!
The huge Daibutsu.

We took a hiking trail that goes along many of the city’s temples and found this gem of a restaurant along the way. Perfect time to stop for a refreshment!

One of my favorite temples in all of Japan that we visited. Just gorgeous and so peaceful! If you would like to know the names of any of these temples/shrines comment below and I will add them 🙂

And then what a view at sunset from the rooftop of my cousin’s building!
An amazing dinner out with my cousin. I wish I had gotten more pictures of the dinner, but we were having too much fun!

What an unbelievable day we had in Kamakura, Japan. You could easily spend a week there and not see everything! I look forward to returning some day 🙂 Next up will be Enoshima and Shibuya!
